One hour. Netflix or building something? Why focus is the most valuable currency

If you only had one hour – would you spend it with Netflix, or with the possibility of building something that could enable exactly such results for you in the future?

Since we have artificial intelligence, the most valuable currency is no longer money or time. It is focus.

The result-per-hour argument

Theoretically, you can run an unlimited number of agentic AI systems that produce results for you. Or you buy something that someone has already created with AI. Or you simply ignore the whole topic – I consider that a bad decision, but nobody is forced to deal with AI.

The self-fulfilling principle

Proving by using

I prove a result by using exactly the systems that confirm the result. The existence of this video is the proof – all content was created with an agentic system and artificial intelligence.

The proof works for your audience

Whoever shows results generated with their own systems makes the principle verifiable for their own audience – without marketing promises.

Focus as the bottleneck

The systems run on their own. The scarcest resource is the decision what to point them at – and the hour in which you start.

The thought experiment: back before the pandemic

And if someone does not believe me, I travel back before the pandemic in a thought experiment and show them my computer. The reaction: strange looks. At the current speed at which AI spreads in everyday life, it is high time to ask yourself: do you really want to keep ignoring the topic?

One example of such self-built systems: my AI skill that analyzes YouTube videos before watching them.

Netflix or building?

The video ends with the question everyone has to answer for themselves: how would you spend your next hour?
